French shares drop 1.42 pct on Monday

PARIS, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 1.42 percent, or 79.63 points, to close at 5,518.55 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, 34 lost in the day.

European commercial real estate company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE lost 5.79 percent. French multinational integrated oil and gas company Total SE. lost 4.97 percent. French banking group Societe Generale went down by 3.70 percent.

The top winner was European multinational food-products corporation Danone, which advanced 2.05 percent. French omnichannel company Teleperformance rose 1.53 percent. French digital transformation leader Atos rose 0.68 percent.
