PARIS, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- French shares edged up on Thursday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 1.24 percent, or 61.14 points, to close at 4,983.99 points.
Of the 40 selected large companies, 33 gained in the day.
