U.S. consumes record amount of renewable energy in 2019: EIA

HOUSTON, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Consumption of renewable energy in the United States reached record high in 2019, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Monday.

According to EIA's statistics, the United States consumed of a record 11.5 quadrillion British thermal units (Btu) renewable energy in 2019, or 11 percent of total U.S. energy consumption.
