ADDIS ABABA, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- The number of confirmed COVID-19 positive cases across the African continent surpassed 1,299,389, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said Monday.
The continental disease control and prevention agency in a statement issued late Monday stressed that the death toll related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic rose to 31,283 so far.
