German shares edge down 0.5 pct

FRANKFURT, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 64.92 points, or 0.50 percent, to close at 12,993.71 points.

Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost 10.56 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by Deutsche Bank and housing association Deutsche Wohnen which lost 2.26 percent and 1.93 percent respectively.
