FRANKFURT, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 259.36 points, or 2.04 percent, to close at 12,946.89 points.
Automotive supplier Continental won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 9.08 percent. Automotive manufacturers BMW and Volkswagen gained by 5.76 percent and 5.17 percent respectively.
