ISLAMABAD, July 23 (Xinhua) -- An improvised explosive device (IED) blast hit a busy market on Thursday in Pakistan's northwest Kurram district, leaving at least 20 people injured, local media and police said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police in Parachinar Najab Ali told media that the blast took place in the busy market named Turi Bazaar in the downtown of Parachinar city of Kurram, a tribal district bordering Afghanistan in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
