Colombia boat wreck death toll jumps to nine (Updated)


Bogota (AFP) - At least nine people were dead and 28 missing after a tourist boat sank for unknown reasons in a reservoir in Colombia Sunday, authorities said, sharply raising an earlier toll.

”At the moment we officially have nine people who have been found dead” and “approximately 28 people reported missing” from the boat that sank in the northwestern town of Guatape, said Margarita Moncada, head of the disaster prevention department of the Antioquia regional government.
