The incident, which took place at around 1am, has drawn strong reactions from viewers on both sides of the argument.
But did a man really assault a motorcyclist because his loud exhaust woke his baby?

A 29-year-old local man assaulted a 19-year-old motorcyclist outside a convenience store along Jalan Ismail in Mersing last Friday after claiming the motorcycle's loud exhaust woke his sleeping baby, as reported by Sinar Harian.
According to Mersing OCPD Supt Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani, the suspect alleged that the teenager had cut in front of his vehicle and revved his exhaust loudly, causing the baby being carried by his wife to wake up and cry.
The suspect then assaulted the victim, who sought treatment at a hospital and was confirmed to have sustained injuries to his left cheek and abdomen.
Police received information about the incident after a one-minute-and-45-second video of the altercation went viral on social media.
The investigation paper has been completed and referred to the Johor Deputy Public Prosecutor, with the suspect directed to be charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which covers voluntarily causing hurt and carries a maximum penalty of one year in prison, a fine, or both.
The charge is to be made at the Mersing Magistrate's Court.
