A VIDEO circulating on Facebook appears to show a driver fast asleep behind the wheel of a sedan at a traffic light junction in Johor Baru, with traffic moving around the stationary vehicle.
The clip spread rapidly online, prompting widespread concern about the dangers of driving while fatigued.
But was a driver really caught on video asleep at a traffic light in Johor Baru?

A local man was found asleep at the wheel of his sedan at the Tanjung Puteri traffic light junction in Johor Baru last Friday (Sept 18) morning, as reported by Sinar Harian.
The incident occurred at approximately 6.50am while the man, who works as a restaurant attendant at a shopping centre, was driving home to Taman Mount Austin after his shift.
A police officer nearby approached the vehicle and knocked on the window to alert the driver.
Johor Baru South deputy district police chief Superintendent Ng Swie Chait said the driver woke up in a startled state before slowly moving the vehicle forward.
The sedan was subsequently observed moving against oncoming traffic in the direction of Jalan Jim Quee.
A breath alcohol screening test conducted on the driver returned a negative result.
Police detected the viral Facebook video of the incident at approximately 10.06pm on the same day.
The case is being investigated under Section 79(2) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which covers failure to comply with traffic signals.
Police have advised all road users to ensure they are in a safe and alert condition before getting behind the wheel.
"Road users are also advised to comply with traffic rules and laws to avoid incidents that could endanger themselves and other road users," said Ng.
