Wrong-way drivers have been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. A video has gone viral showing a car being driven against the flow of traffic on the Federal Highway, which resulted in an accident. Did such an incident happen as claimed?

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shamsudin Mamat said a man has been arrested for allegedly driving against traffic along the Federal Highway towards Kuala Lumpur, causing an accident on Thursday (Feb 26).
He said police received a report on the incident at 10.09pm.
“Initial investigations found that the accident occurred at about 6pm when a car was driven against traffic before colliding with another vehicle travelling along the highway,” he said in a statement on Friday (Feb 27).
He said the driver of the other vehicle, a local woman, was not injured.
The man who drove against traffic has been arrested and will be investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
ACP Shamsudin reminded the public to always comply with traffic laws to prevent untoward incidents.
