However, a video of a lorry being driven dangerously recently surfaced. The one-minute, 48-second viral clip shows a tipper lorry moving unsteadily before crossing into the opposite lane.

It is claimed that the video was recorded in Kota Tinggi, Johor.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Yusof Othman said the Kota Tinggi District Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division came across a video of the incident on Tuesday (Jan 13)

He said a 26-year-old local man, the driver of the lorry seen in the video, had surrendered himself after a summons was issued to him on Wednesday (Jan 14).

Supt Yusof also confirmed that the incident happened at KM7.0 of Jalan Perani-Lok Heng, Kota Tinggi, on Tuesday (Jan 13).

“The lorry was seized, and the man tested negative for drugs,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Supt Yusof advised the public to drive carefully and obey the laws and regulations set to maintain road safety.

"Dangerous driving not only invites legal action, but can also result in accidents and loss of life," he said.
