Verdict:

TRUE

Iskandar Puteri Police are looking for a motorcyclist who allegedly threw a stone and damaged a car's rear mirror after the video of the incident went viral.

The incident took place on Monday (Dec 1) at 8.20am, according to a report filed by the male driver.

The victim, a 30-year-old Malaysian, was driving along the Second Link Crossing from the Perling Toll Plaza towards Taman Bukit Indah, Johor Baru.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Assistant Commissioner M. Kumarasan said in his report, the victim stated that a red motorcycle abruptly changed lanes and chased after the driver.

"The suspect suddenly took out a stone and threw it at the moving car, damaging the car's back mirror," he said in a statement.

ACP Kumarasan said the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief that causes loss or damage of at least RM25.

It is also being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.

The incident highlights the dangers of road rage and aggressive driving behaviour on Malaysian highways.

Throwing objects at moving vehicles poses serious risks not only to the targeted driver but also to other road users.

Such acts can cause drivers to lose control of their vehicles, potentially leading to accidents.

Witnesses or those with information about the case can come forward by giving details to the nearest police station or call the Iskandar Puteri Police Contingent Control Centre at 07-511 3622 or Hotline at 07-511 4486.
