A CCTV recording showing a distressing incident involving an elderly woman has gone viral on social media, capturing a brazen daylight attack.
The footage showed two men on a motorcycle approaching the victim as she waited by the roadside.

An elderly woman suffered minor injuries after being mugged by two men on a motorcycle whilst she was at the roadside in Nilam Puri, Kota Baru on Saturday (Nov 1).
Kota Baru Deputy District OCPD Supt Wan Ruzailan Wan Mat Rusoff said the incident occurred at 8.15am when the 69-year-old victim had just finished buying fish and was waiting to cross the road.
"At that time, two men on a Honda EX5 motorcycle approached the complainant before the pillion rider got off and pulled the money bag from her hand," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Nov 4).
"The victim tried to retrieve the money bag but fell at the roadside. Both suspects then fled," he added.
According to him, the victim suffered a loss of RM50 and lodged a police report.
Following that, police detained three local men aged between their 20s and 30s, including the owner of the motorcycle used in the incident.
"They were arrested at 7.53pm yesterday (Nov 3)," he said.
"Police also seized a motorcycle that was used during the incident," he added.
He said urine screening tests found that all three suspects tested positive for methamphetamine.
"All three suspects were remanded for seven days starting today until Monday to assist in investigations," he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code.
The incident was recorded on closed-circuit television (CCTV) and went viral on social media.
