IN A video that appears to be CCTV footage, a man has just parked his car in a public area when two other vehicles pull up in front of it.
Several men get out, brandishing long poles, and start hitting the first car while the occupant sounds the horn in an apparent attempt to get help.
Three more individuals rush up to the car, also armed with poles, and join in. The victim is seen trying to open the car door but is unable to get out owing to the ferocity of the attack.
The windscreen and driver's side window appear to be shattered as well.
After about 30 seconds, the assailants leave, and the victim is seen getting out of his car.
It is said that the incident occurred in the Johor Baru suburb of Johor Jaya recently.

Seri Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said on Friday (April 25) that eight suspects aged 19 to 37 have been remanded in connection with the incident that took place in Johor Jaya recently.
He said two suspects were picked up on Tuesday (April 22), and six others on Thursday (April 24).
“All eight suspects are currently under remand until Sunday (April 27).
"The case is being investigated under Sections 324, 148 and 427 of the Penal Code,” he said when contacted.
The alleged offences are, respectively, voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means or weapons, rioting with weapons, and committing mischief resulting in losses.
It is learnt that the 32-year-old victim sustained facial and wrist injuries in the incident, which reportedly stemmed from a misunderstanding.
ACP Sohaimi urged the public not to speculate further while the investigation is being conducted.
