QuickCheck: Is there an investment scam asking for ‘cash advances’ to secure cryptocurrency?


With all the negative press, cryptocurrency investment has turned to WhatsApp groups to promote their “opportunities.

Some of these cryptocurrency investment providers are known to ask for cash advances and additional fees have incurred.

But are these cryptocurrency investment providers, such as Accerx.Com, a legitimate investment scheme?

Accerx.Com is a scam, says the police.

“You are advised to be careful with ‘Accerx.Com’,” wrote the police in a Facebook post.

They urged and advised people to always be alert and not fall prey to the “trap” of social media accounts promoting cryptocurrency investment scams.

The police said, “Financial investments should be made with permitted institutions, and investors should never believe investment advertisements on social media. "

“Always be a smart consumer and avoid being a scam victim,” added.
