Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said a woman was arrested for allegedly driving a car against the flow of traffic at KM31.2 of the North-South Expressway (NSE).
Supt Tok said the 35-year-old suspect was nabbed on Wednesday (Oct 19) at 1pm at her apartment in Kangkar Pulai, Skudai.
"The arrest was made following a video of the suspect driving against the flow of the traffic which went viral," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He said the suspect was brought to the Kulai district police headquarters and a white car was seized to assist in the investigation.
Supt Tok said the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 which carries up to five years in jail, and a fine of between RM5,000 and RM15,000, upon conviction.
