QuickCheck: Misinformation 'twitterstorm' on the Ukraine crisis on social media

THERE has been a storm of misinformation on Twitter, Tik Tok and other social media ever since the invasion of Ukraine began on Thursday (Feb 24).

While we can never be certain why someone would spread such misinformation, it would be fair to say that it's a mix of people who just want the extra "likes" to groups who want to "control" the conversation.
