China's listed firms donate over 5bil yuan for epidemic control

Securities companies, futures companies, public fund companies and private equity firms have donated money and goods totalling 900 million yuan, Yan Qingmin, vice chairman of the CSRC, said at a press conference.

The death toll from the Covid-19 epedemic jumped past 1,500 on Saturday (Feb 15) but new infections fell following a mid-week surge, announced by the Chinese Government.
