Strong quake shakes buildings, stops traffic in Taiwan

Taipei: A 6.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Taiwan, the US Geolo­gical Survey said, shaking buildings and disrupting traffic.

In the capital Taipei yesterday, high-rises swayed violently while some panicked schoolchildren fled their classrooms in eastern Yilan county, according to reports.
