KUALA LUMPUR: President Xi Jinping will strengthen his grip on power as he prepares for his second term as general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), according to an expert here.
Universiti Malaya Institute of Chinese Studies deputy director Dr Ngeow Chow Bing said Xi has been intensifying a revamp of China’s provincial leadership over the past two years.
