A TEENAGE robber whose lawyer says has below-average intelligence was sentenced to 24 strokes of the cane and five years in prison, a report said yesterday.
District Judge Bala Reddy sentenced Maria Dass Pandi Rasan, 16, on Monday for robbing three taxi drivers in July, The Straits Times reported.
