SENIOR Minister Goh Chok Tong has backed Indonesia’s efforts to shore up the rupiah in the face of soaring oil prices, but he warned that the country’s economic woes could hurt Singapore.
Goh said the measures being put in place by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono would help stem its sliding currency and restore confidence to South-East Asia’s largest economy.
