SEVENTEEN ancient tombs believed built in the Warring States Period (403BC- 221BC) were found in a recent excavation at a highway construction site in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Close to this spot, archaeologists also discovered an ancient village dating back 4,000 years.
