BEIJING: US Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld may visit China this year, his first trip to Beijing in four years in the post, a Chinese newspaper yesterday quoted a Defence Ministry official as saying.
Sino-US military ties have been slowly recovering after plunging into a deep freeze in April 2001 when a Chinese fighter jet and a US Navy reconnaissance plane collided in international air space off China.
