Lift embargo, China tells EU
BEIJING: China said the European Union must lift its 15-year-old arms embargo against Beijing or risk damaging diplomatic relations.The end of the embargo would not fuel an arms race with Taiwan, said Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui yesterday, speaking in advance of a trip by Premier Wen Jiabao to Europe next week.
