JAKARTA: Six people convicted over the October 2002 Bali bombings had their sentences cut yesterday as prisoners across Indonesia were granted leniency to mark Indonesia's 59th anniversary of independence.
The six, serving between three- and 16-year terms for assisting key Bali bombers, were among 535 recipients of sentence cuts of up to six months across the resort island, the state Antara news agency said, without elaborating.
