THE city of Xining, capital of northwest China’s Qinghai Province, will hold a tulip festival, presenting the world with over four million tulip plants and a strong ethnic flavour, said Cui Qingshan, vice-director of the provincial tourism bureau.
The festival would be held on May 1 to 6, Cui said, and it would be Qinghai’s eighth time to sponsor such an activity since 1993.
