CALCUTTA: British arms dealer Peter Bleach was set free yesterday following a pardon by India's president, more than eight years after he was arrested by Indian police probing a mysterious arms drop.
The former British army intelligence officer was rushed in a five-car convoy of consulate cars and police escorts from a high-security prison here to the city's British consulate.
