HONG KONG: Hong Kong leader Tung Chee-hwa announced three major concessions yesterday on a controversial security law that critics say will limit freedoms in the former British colony.
The amendments came four days after 500,000 people marched in protest at the Bill in the biggest demonstration Hong Kong had seen since one million people took to the streets following the Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing in 1989.
