MILF says it will resume attacks

MANILA: Muslim separatist rebels announced they will resume attacks on government troops after their 20-day unilateral ceasefire ended midnight yesterday.

“We will return to active defence and if (the military's) operations continue, we will be countering attacks,” Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) spokesman Eid Kabalu said by phone.
