IT WAS lights, cameras and elbow room only at Boat Quay on Saturday night, as Singapore put on its best party clothes to celebrate being taken off the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) list of SARS-affected areas.
At 8.30pm, a convoy of six Harley-Davidsons kicked off the bash with thundering revs down the riverbank. Beer flowed freely and a crowd of more than 2,500 weaved in between clowns, face painters and stilt walkers.
