HONG KONG: Four schools here were ordered shut for a week after 182 of their students were found to have family members who have contracted the deadly atypical pneumonia as many parents expressed fear of their children catching the disease while at school.
The overall fear of the disease was compounded when Dr William Ho Shiu Wei, the chief executive of the Hospital Authority, which oversees medical institutions here, was himself admitted with atypical pneumonia on Sunday evening.
