SINGAPORE: The unskilled foreign worker will be a rare sight at construction sites in Singapore from next year.
From Jan 1, every new foreign worker must be skilled in at least one task – brick-laying for example. But even then, his employer will have to pay a foreign worker levy of S$320 (RM688) a month.
