Janna earns her Master’s in filmmaking

AFTER keeping her postgraduate studies under wraps for a year, actress Janna Nick has revealed that she pursued a Master’s degree in filmmaking in the United Kingdom and graduated with flying colours, reported Harian Metro.

Janna, whose real name is Nurul Jannah Muner, 31, said she deliberately kept her year-long studies private.

“All the hardship I went through was worth it. It was all through the Almighty’s blessings, which made it easier for me,” she was quoted as saying.

She added that while she regularly created content, she did not share videos of herself studying.

“For things that I really want, you will never see any content on it,” she said, adding that she went through her academic journey without any special privileges or shortcuts.

In September of last year, Janna started a new life in London, together with her husband.

> Utusan Malaysia reported that the blooming of a Tecoma tree along Jalan Batu Kikir in Kuala Pilah has drawn more visitors to the area, giving local traders a boost in business.

A cendol seller who wished to be known as Zham said the tree’s current bloom was far more spectacular than in previous years.

“Most people come in the evening to take photos with the tree in the background while enjoying a bowl of cendol.

“Our earnings have also increased because of this. We really did not expect such an overwhelming response to watch the blooming tree, with visitors coming from as far as Melaka and Johor to see it,” he said.

> The wish of a 69-year-old woman to once again tie the knot ended in heartbreak after her 77-year-old partner passed away in a car accident, Utusan Malaysia reported.

Nisun Che Mat said her partner had expressed his intention to marry her so they could spend the rest of their lives together.

She added that they also discussed how they would care for each other if one of them fell ill.

“However, our marriage was not meant to be. At least his remains were found,” she said, adding that they had planned to get married in December this year.
