PETALING JAYA: Nothing has been finalised as far as collaborations for the upcoming Melaka state election are concerned, says Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
The Pakatan Harapan election director, who is also Selangor Mentri Besar, said this at launch of the Road and Highway Selangor 2026-2035 Strategic Plan (Jalur Selangor) under the Rancangan Selangor Plan 2 (RS2) at Bangunan Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah on Wednesday (Sept 30).
“I met Melaka Keadilan yesterday, some matters were highlighted...nothing has been finalised.
"However, we will look for opportunities to collaborate. If there is no opportunity, we have to make the best offer for Melaka residents," he said.
Amirudin said he had listened to the views of Melaka Pakatan but would have to confirm with the centreal leadership council to decide on the next steps.
“We will meet BN (Barisan Nasional) in the meantime to see if we can explore opportunities. If the meeting doesn’t happen, then we will decide the next step.
“It is important for Pakatan to maximise its potential and avoid clashes to give the best to Melaka residents,” he said.
On the matter of 50 Taman Sri Muda residents succeeding in their lawsuit over the major floods that hit the area in December 2021, Amirudin said he would seek details and advice from the state Legal Advisor following the High Court's decision.
"The next course of action includes whether an appeal should be filed against the ruling. This is just the decision of the High Court," he said.
