TAMPIN: A couple was killed and their four-year-old child injured in a two-vehicle collision here on Monday (Sept 28) morning.
Tampin OCPD Supt Amiruddien Sariman said the 27-year-old driver of one of the vehicles and his 26-year-old wife were killed in the accident along the Gemencheh-Bukit Rokan stretch.
"The wife, who was in the front passenger seat, was killed on the spot, while the husband died while receiving treatment at the Gemencheh health clinic.
"Their son, who sustained injuries, was sent to Tampin Hospital for treatment," he said in a statement.
Supt Amiruddien said the deceased driver was believed to have lost control of his vehicle and veered into the opposite lane.
The driver of the other car sustained injuries in the incident.
He urged eyewitnesses to contact the district police station at 06-4412502 to assist in the investigation.
The case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
