UiTM Jalan Othman campus to be renamed after UiTM pioneer Arshad Ayub, says Anwar

SHAH ALAM: The Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Jalan Othman campus will be renamed the UiTM Tun Arshad Ayub Jalan Othman Campus, with an allocation of RM2.5mil to upgrade the campus, announced Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister made the announcement at the UiTM Alumni Gathering with the Prime Minister on Saturday (Sept 26)

The move honours the late Tun Arshad Ayub, a key figure in the development of UiTM and the country's higher education sector.

Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, also announced RM100,000 each for two programmes organised by the UiTM Alumni Federation of Malaysia (PAUiTM).

The allocations are for the TUNaS Belia NEET Programme, which focuses on youths not in education, employment or training, and the UiTM Alumni Gathering.

The contributions are aimed at supporting and recognising PAUiTM's efforts in advancing its programmes and initiatives.
