PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has concluded investigations into the Baja 3 fertiliser issue in Kedah and suggested charging two suspects, says its chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman.
"We will refer the matter to the Attorney General’s Chambers and suggest charging.
"If (AGC agrees) with our suggestions, it is likely that we will file the charges with the courts by next week or the week after," he told a press conference after the 5th National Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Research Conference here on Friday (Sept 25).

He did not name the two suspects.
"Just wait for it (the charging)," he said briefly when asked.
In an unrelated matter, investigations of alleged irregularities surrounding the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City (KLVC) project will see two suspects charged next week, he said.
"A former Felda general manager will face one charge under Section 420 (of the Penal Code), and the charge will be registered in court on Wednesday (Sept 30).

"Meanwhile, the other person, the former chief executive officer of Felda Investment Commission, will face two charges under Section 417, and the charges will be brought on Tuesday (Sept 29)," he added.
Previously, investigations into Felda had seen statements recorded from 30 individuals, including board members, Felda and its investment arm.s management personnel, legal advisers, property valuers and law firm representatives.
