KOTA KINABALU: Multiple police reports have been lodged against Sepang Umno division chief Datuk Noorazli Said over remarks made during the party’s general assembly that allegedly insulted the Catholic Church.
Tuaran MP Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau confirmed that he lodged a report at the Kota Kinabalu district police headquarters yesterday, urging authorities to take swift action.
“I have received a personal apology from Noorazli,” Madius shared on Facebook following his earlier statement demanding an unreserved apology.
He added that he will leave it to the police and relevant authorities to conduct a full investigation.
Separately, Parti Warisan assemblymen Samuel Wong (Luyang) and Edna Majimbun (Inanam), along with party officials KC Chen and Melanie Chia, lodged reports at the Luyang police station.
