SHAH ALAM: Police are hunting three suspects still at large in connection with a gang-related brawl in Sri Muda that left a local man injured after he was attacked with a machete.
Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Pahlawan Shazeli Kahar said four local men had already been charged under Section 148 of the Penal Code over the incident.
He said initial investigations found elements of gangsterism, although the clash was believed to have stemmed from a misunderstanding.
"The second case, which involved an injury, was due to a misunderstanding," he told a press conference here on Monday (Sept 7).
Comm Shazeli said the victim was attacked by a group of men with a weapon believed to be a machete and was also threatened with an object resembling a pistol.
"Police are seeking the cooperation of members of the public who have any information that could help locate the three remaining suspects who are still at large in connection with the case," he said.
He urged anyone with information on the suspects or their whereabouts to come forward and assist police investigations.
