PETALING JAYA: A former Lembaga Tabung Haji chief operating officer is expected to be charged at the Shah Alam Sessions Court tomorrow.
A check on the court's e-filing system listed Datuk Adi Azuan Abdul Ghani to appear before Sessions Court judge Awang Kerisnada Awang Mahmud at 9am on Sept 3.
Adi Azuan was one of the individuals identified in the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on TH, where it said TH took disciplinary action against five former senior officers - including Adi Azuan - with an initial recommendation to dismiss four of them, but this was later reduced to demotions.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has opened up a total of 14 investigation papers following the RCI report on the TH mismanagement.
MACC had made 17 arrests during the investigations, with 10 suspects remanded thus far.
Among the 11 people arrested as part of the investigations were the former investment director of Tabung Haji, the director of Putrajaya Perdana, the former director of Putra Perdana Construction, the former chairman of Tabung Haji, the Alam Maritim CEO, and a former federal minister.
