PETALING JAYA: The daughter-in-law of a Malaysian feared missing after floods hit the Trishuli area in Nepal's Nuwakot district is praying for her father-in-law's safety while the family awaits news of his whereabouts.
In a Threads post, user @waniyawww said the last update she received from her father-in-law was at 8.45am Thursday (Aug 27) Malaysian time, when he told the family he was having coffee.

"Wani hopes Abah has not reached the border yet. Hopefully, he is still far away. But if he has already crossed it, Abah is at the highest place," she said.
She added that the family was trying to remain strong while waiting for news, adding that everyone at her father-in-law’s home was holding back tears.
"Everyone is waiting for news about Abah. May Abah be healthy, safe and have everything made easier for him. Wani leaves everything to Allah SWT," she said.
She also clarified that her father-in-law was travelling by four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle and was not among hikers or part of the Annapurna team.

She also attached a photo of her father-in-law posing with his friends and guides.
"My father-in-law (pictured wearing a green shirt) and the others travelled in 4WD vehicles. They were not hikers travelling on foot and were not part of the Annapurna team. There were nine travellers, including Abah, accompanied by one guide, and they were travelling in two jeeps," she said.
On Thursday, Nepal police released the names of those missing in the catastrophe, including foreign nationals.
The massive flooding near the border with Tibet has killed almost 400 people in Nepal.
