KUALA LUMPUR: A couple’s attempt to recover the balance of a RM10,000 loan taken out by an acquaintance turned into a nightmare when they were allegedly assaulted and forced to perform sexual acts at a residence in Setia Alam last week.
The victims, both in their 20s, had reportedly met a loan shark, in his 30s, on Aug 6.
They were seeking repayment of the outstanding balance of a loan, which was made using the male victim’s identity card.
The couple initially met the suspect at a location in Klang to discuss the loan, of which the male victim had reportedly received only RM400.
The suspect then invited the couple to have a meal, purportedly to discuss the loan and its outstanding balance further.
They agreed.
However, instead of going for a meal, the loan shark drove them to another location in Klang where he picked up another man before continuing towards Setia Alam.
The second suspect allegedly assaulted the couple throughout the journey from Klang to Setia Alam.
The victims were then taken to a unit at a residence where they were allegedly forced to remove their clothes and engage in sexual intercourse while being recorded by the suspect’s accomplice.
The male victim was also allegedly threatened with being burnt with an iron if he refused to comply with the suspects’ demands.
The female victim was similarly threatened and allegedly forced to perform sexual acts with the suspect’s accomplice.
Both victims sustained injuries to their bodies, legs and faces after allegedly being assaulted with a blunt object.
The suspects subsequently dropped the victims off.
