Zahid visits Ismail Sabri at IJN

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi visited former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who is currently receiving treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN) here.

In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Ahmad Zahid also prayed for the Bera MP's recovery and continued good health.

"I pray that he will continue to be given strength and good health, that all his affairs will be eased, and that he will be granted a full recovery," he said on Monday (Aug 10).

Ahmad Zahid also prayed that Ismail Sabri would be able to resume his service and daily activities as usual.

Ismail Sabri was reported to have experienced health problems while at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Aug 6 for the recording of his statement, before being rushed to IJN.

He subsequently underwent a procedure to implant a wireless pacemaker at the institute to treat an abnormal heart condition. - Bernama
