BANGI: Graduates of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) who have not yet secured employment are urged to take advantage of the MYFutureJobs portal to enhance their job prospects.
Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said the portal provided by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) offers various job opportunities from employers across the country and can serve as the best platform for graduates to launch their careers.
“If it’s hard to find a job, you can apply via the MYFutureJobs portal provided by the Human Resources Ministry. There are indeed job opportunities,” he said to Bernama after attending the convocation ceremony of the Advanced Technology College (ADTEC) of the Human Resources Department (JTM) here yesterday.
Ramanan said the government will continue to help TVET graduates obtain jobs that match their qualifications and skills, in line with the industry’s ongoing need for skilled labour.
Meanwhile, he said ADTEC JTM graduates continue to receive recognition from industry, with an employability rate of 95.5% and an employer satisfaction level of 97.2%.
“This achievement proves that the training provided by ADTEC JTM meets the industry’s needs.
“This programme is a government gem that many might not know about, which is why this success needs to be highlighted,” he said.
Commenting on starting salaries, he said graduate income varies by sector and location. However, some earn over RM4,000 a month, particularly in fields like maritime that offer allowances and foreign currency pay.
He also said that major companies including Perodua, Huawei, and 7-Eleven are among the employers offering job opportunities to ADTEC JTM graduates, thereby reflecting the industry’s confidence in the quality of training provided by the institution.
Earlier, Ramanan attended the first session of the ADTEC JTM Convocation Ceremony, which involved 637 graduates out of a total of approximately 1,400 graduates being celebrated yesterday.
Overall, a total of 8,255 graduates from 33 JTM campuses and two satellite campuses across the country received certificates and diplomas at this year’s convocation ceremony, which was held in several sessions.
