IPOH: A neighbour describes the woman and her two young daughters, who were found dead in their Bandar Baru Tambun home on Thursday night (July 31), as a quiet family.
The 60-year-old woman, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the family rarely left their home.
She said she occasionally saw her neighbour when she stepped outside to dispose of rubbish, about three times a week.
She recalled that she had invited the family of three to her child’s wedding when she moved in about a decade ago, and they attended the ceremony.
“She usually is always going in and out of the house, mainly to send her children to school,” she said.
A check at the house yesterday (July 31) found a car still parked on the porch, but the main gate and doors were closed.
She said she had occasionally seen an elderly man, believed to be the woman’s father, at the house.
“I used to see him around the house from time to time, but I haven’t seen him for some time.
“The family usually kept to themselves,” she said.

Earlier, Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Muhammad Najib Hamzah in a statement said that a 46-year-old woman and her two daughters were found dead in a house in Bandar Baru Tambun.
He said police received information about the discovery of the three unconscious individuals at about 9.10pm on Thursday. (July 30)
He said investigations at the scene found the woman and her daughters, aged 12 and 11, dead inside a room in the house.
“Police also found a container believed to contain the remains of burnt charcoal in the room.
“Preliminary examinations by the police forensic team and a forensic medical specialist found no signs of injury or foul play on the victims’ bodies,” he said in a statement.
