SEREMBAN: Negri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan will announce its list of candidates for the Aug 1 state polls next Tuesday (July 14), says its state chief Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
The caretaker Mentri Besar said the announcement would be made by Pakatan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Pilah.
Asked if the list of candidates has been finalised, Aminuddin said he had no knowledge of it.
"Please wait for the official announcement.
"We can have one (list) today but another tomorrow," he said when met after presenting special grants to 342 Kawasan Rukun Tetangga (KRT) in the state here.
Aminuddin refused to comment when asked if there would be surprises.
To another question if it was true that he would be moving from Sikamat to contest in Linggi, he again said he has not been told anything by Anwar.
Aminuddin has held the Sikamat state seat since 2008.
In the state polls, Pakatan will field candidates in all 36 state seats with PKR contesting 16, DAP (11) and Amanah (nine).
In the August 2023 polls, Pakatan won 17 of 19 seats contested.
They had then formed an electoral pact with Barisan Nasional under the unity government banner.
Barisan contested 17 seats and won 14 while Perikatan Nasional bagged the remaining five.
