Floods: 344 victims evacuated to relief centres in Banting


PETALING JAYA: Some 344 victims have been evacuated to temporary relief centres following floods at Taman Langat Utama 2, Bukit Changgang in Banting.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ashrul Riezal Asbar said water levels had reached between two to four feet as of 5.25pm on Thursday (June 25).

"The victims evacuated are from 173 families.

"So far the water level is not increasing and we are monitoring the situation further," he said in a statement today.
