‘Uniform subsidised diesel to benefit all’

KOTA KINABALU: The government’s decision to reduce the price of subsidised diesel to RM2.10 per litre nationwide from July will directly benefit all Malaysians, says Datuk Mustapha Sakmud (pic).

The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) said the move was also proof that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s international relations and foreign policies were doing well.

“Malaysia’s initiative in strengthening energy cooperation with countries like Russia and Turkmenistan and guarantee of power supply obtained through strategic relations with main producing nations proves the government’s commitment in strengthening the country’s energy resilience long-term.

“The reduction in the price of subsidised diesel also shows effective administration,” Mustapha said in a statement yesterday.
